Wellness and Body-Centered Therapies

Shasta Yoga Institute offers Wellness & Body-Centered therapies which include a variety of approaches and modalities but similar to all is an integrative, holistic, body-mind-heart approach to wellness. Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards being well and a healthy, fulfilling life. The focus of wellness therapy is addressing underlying causes of symptoms and looking at a person’s well-being from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual standpoint. Wellness Therapies may include various massage techniques, somatic therapy, aromatherapy, cranio-sacral, structural or energetic bodywork, acupuncture, therapeutic yoga and lifestyle counseling.

Eva Swathi

Licensed Massage Therapist
“I am a happy, easy going, passionate and compassionate simple human being with a big heart and gifted healing hands. I have been practicing massage therapy and healing formally for 25 years. I have a unique gifted and educated offering.
I have a developed intuition that can hear deeply into beings and bodies their truth. Sometimes guides will come and work with me if it is what that unique session calls forth, or I talk with specific tissues. The majesty of Mt Shasta moves through me. I have been told over and over again that I have a natural gift and that nobody else has helped them to the level that came out in our session together. My life’s hunger is truth and I am dedicated to a meditation practice based on Oneness.
When I arrived to massage therapy formally for the first time in 1995 it was like coming home to the natural talents that I was gifted in this life. I have spent my 25-year long career taking courses to explain what my hands and intuition already knew.
My practice has also been driven by opening to the root of with which the client presents. The underlying common denominator of success that I have with my clients depends on holding space for their unique essence to feel safe and supported while listening to their body and innate intelligence to guide the session.
My favorite formal technique is Cranial Sacral Therapy. The deep listening skill developed through this carries all of my treatments. I have helped people through a multitude of situations; most anything that doesn’t require surgery, and even sometimes that can be avoided.
I feel most alive and in harmony in my treatments when working with people that really want to heal at their core, and understand their personal responsibility on their health life journey. It is an honor to serve humanity and all life force with the gift I am”.
