For the yogi, spirit is not separate from body.” ~ BKS Iyengar

A brief reading will support settling inward. Some guidance on Vipassana (Insight) and Shamatha (equanimity) Meditation offered on Saturday mornings.
Vinyasa / Vinyasa Slow unifies the body, mind, and heart through breath, movement, awareness and mindfulness, using a dynamic, creative, intentional and more challenging sequencing.

Yin Yoga is good for all levels, this class introduces postures in the yin tradition, incorporating longer holds of postures designed to release tension held deep in the connective tissues of the body to prepare for meditation. Outstanding Meditations (OM) integrates different meditation tools like metta, mantras, mudras and pranayama, but the main emphasis is on shamanic-style spirit journeys or visualizations. Each unique session is a Sacred Circle, presented in a safe, fun and nourishing format beginning with a few facts about the topic of the day, followed by a guided relaxation, the actual inner journey, quiet time to go deeper and/or time to record your experience with art, prose or poetry, and closing with optional sharing. Bring your own meditation journal and/or simple art and writing supplies.
I had always wanted to take a yoga class but afraid it would be too hard. I took one right before my climb to the top of Mt. Shasta with the Breast Cancer Fund. It was not only calming, centering and easy for a beginner, but also spiritually awakening to my inner space.” -Dr Shanhong Lu
